Hey, My Cat Ate My Wireless Earphones!
Ok, this is going to sound silly…
I adore my new wireless earphones. They are a model by Etymotic that is simply so small, that you can not even feel them when they are on. These headphones are so light, and they totally isolate you from the external world, being in-ear, that it’s truly fantastic to employ them. They’re among the best iPhone headphones I ever tested.
Now, my kitty hates it when I wear those headphones. Cause they isolate me from the external world. And when my kitty is hungry, and it starts to “Meow!”, I cannot hear it anymore if I am listening to music.
I used to listen to it without difficulty with my previous, stock Apple earphones that came with my iPhone. Cause those earphones isolate in a very bad way. This time my kitty could starve, while I happily hear my fave tunes.
Therefore the other day I was prepping my dinner, and I had left my wireless jewels on my couch, close to my iPod. Suddendly my pussy-cat appears on the kitchen door. “It’s hungry” I believed. And when it opens its mouth, it does not meow as usual….but a unimaginable occurs. He is singing …. “Smooooooke on the waaaateeeer…. Dadada dada daaaaa!”. Deep Purple goodness, coming out of the cat’s mouth.
Holy…. ! How was that possible!!
You betcha! The cat was hungry and it ate my earphones. Now, in its stomach acting as a resonating chamber, the sound got amplified enough, and when it opened its mouth it looked like it was singing like new age rocker.
I almost fainted! But then….should I have laughed or should I have cried? I started to fret about my cat’s health.
Luckily the Etymotic’s earpeaces are truly little, and so in a couple of days time nature made its course, and the 2 ear-pieces ahem,,,,appeared again out of the cat!
Aw well, I didn’t dare to use those earphones again, but boy, at least my cat was safe and healthy.
